TEAM
GUIDELINES
-
We will
begin
practicing
on
Thursday
evenings
(6:00 -
8:00) at
Eggert
Elementary
starting
February
26th, in
addition
we may
have
practices
on
Monday's
at Baker
Road
(dates
TBD).
-
It is
very
important
that ALL
players
attend
practices
as we
need to
start
working
on more
advanced
plays.
-
If a
player
cannot
attend
practice,
it will
be their
responsibility
to
notify
me in
advance
either
via
email or
phone.
-
All
players
must
arrive
at least
30
minutes
prior to
the
scheduled
game
time.
-
If a
player
is not
feeling
well,
injured,
or has
any
other
abnormal
discomfort
I will
rely on
the
PLAYER
to
notify
me.
-
Any
player
that is
injured
will be
required
to
complete
one
practice
prior to
playing
in a
game.
As you
could
imagine,
there is
a lot
going on
during
the
games
and
communication
between
the
players
and
coaches
is very
important.
Player
health
and
safety
is most
important,
if for
any
reason I
feel a
player
is not
ready to
enter
the
game, I
will NOT
put them
in.
Should

Orchard Park Starz 14 & Under Team Statement of commitment and team guidelines.. |
- We will practice 2-3 times per month in September and October
- We will practice in local gyms 1-2 times per week November through April
- We will practice some Saturdays at Buffalo State starting in November
- We will play a 10-12 game indoor schedule at Sahlen's Sports Park
- We will play in 4-5 local tournaments and 1-2 away tournaments
- We will play a 12 game Metro League schedule
- Total estimated games 45-50 (includes indoor games)
- All players will play in at least 2 innings and bat the game in all Metro and indoor games
- There is no guaranteed playing time in tournaments though we will try to play all
